Getting started
What is CrewAlert?⌄
CrewAlert is a scheduling companion app built specifically for airline crew. It handles reserve window tracking, add-pay detection, schedule organization, and trip management — all in one place. Built by a working airline pilot who got tired of the same workarounds everyone else was using.
Is CrewAlert available on Android?⌄
Not yet. CrewAlert is currently iOS only. Android support is on the roadmap. Follow our social media on Instagram or TikTok for updates.
What subscription options are available?⌄
CrewAlert subscriptions are powered by RevenueCat and sold through Apple. Current plans are Monthly ($7.99), 3 Months ($19.99, Save 13%), and Annual ($59.99, Save 33%). Subscriptions are managed in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → CrewAlert.
What's the free trial?⌄
Your first subscription includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, billing starts automatically unless you cancel in Apple Subscriptions before renewal.
How do I redeem a promo code?⌄
Open the paywall and tap Redeem Code. Enter the App Store Connect promo or offer code there. If accepted, access updates immediately on your account.
Why is the app paywall-gated?⌄
CrewAlert is subscription-supported so development, parser improvements, and support can continue long-term. In v1.0, non-subscribers see the subscription screen on launch. For special cases, lifetime access can be granted directly from the RevenueCat dashboard.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?⌄
Open CrewAlert → Settings → tap "Restore." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Still having trouble? Email

Reserve & Add-Pay
How do I set up my reserve schedule?⌄
Go to the Schedule tab → tap + Add → Add reserve schedule. Select your days and assign the reserve type (Long Call, Short Call, or Airport Standby). Your reserve window will then appear on the Reserve tab with a live countdown.
How does add-pay auto-detection work?⌄
In Settings, configure your airline's add-pay thresholds — for example, if callout is under 1h 30m, 2.0 hrs add pay applies. When you tap "I received an assignment," CrewAlert calculates your callout window and automatically matches it against your policy. You confirm or override before moving to trip entry.
What reserve types does CrewAlert support?⌄
Long Call, Short Call, and Airport Standby — each with configurable durations. Toggle off any types that don't apply to your airline under Settings → Reserve Types.
The app isn't showing my reserve countdown — what's wrong?⌄
Make sure you've added a reserve window for the current month on the Schedule tab. The Reserve tab countdown only shows when an active or upcoming reserve window is configured. If the window has already ended, it won't display a countdown.
Schedule & Import
How does schedule import work?⌄
In v1.0, schedule import uses on-device OCR with Apple Vision. On the Schedule tab, tap + Add → Import schedule, choose your screenshot, then CrewAlert extracts text on-device. You can review and edit that text before parsing. After you confirm, the app imports trips, reserve days, and non-flying events into your calendar.
Which airlines does the parser support?⌄
In v1.0, parser support is strongest for United list-view schedules (including common reserve codes, J-codes, trip numbers, and multi-day events). American Airlines and other carriers are in progress as we collect more real-world samples.
What is the "Send anonymously" button?⌄
It is an opt-in submission button on the import screen. If you tap it, CrewAlert sends your OCR text, your edits, parsed output, airline selection, and an anonymous device-scoped identifier so we can improve parser quality. No names, employee IDs, or personal contact info are included.
Trips & Countdown
How do I start a trip countdown?⌄
Go to the Trip tab, fill in your trip details and report time, then tap "Start countdown." This starts a Live Activity on your lock screen showing the time remaining to report. It's a reference display — not an alarm.
How do I add a layover hotel?⌄
On the Trip tab, open your trip and scroll to the Layovers section. Tap "+ Add layover," enter the airport code, hotel name, room number, and address. Layover duration calculates automatically from your leg arrival time to the next departure.
Are times shown in local time or Zulu?⌄
All times in CrewAlert are displayed in your device's local timezone, shown in the "All times in [timezone]" banner at the top of each screen. This is standard for US domestic crew scheduling.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?⌄
All scheduling data is stored locally on your device. We don't operate servers that hold your personal data. See our
Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?⌄
Email us at
support@aerosolutionspro.com with as much detail as you can — device model, iOS version, what you were doing, and what happened. Screenshots help a lot. Feature requests are always welcome.
